Emergency Management

Bath County has a limited number of sandbags available.  Residents and businesses of Bath County may pick up to 50 sandbags per residence or business at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 65 Panther Drive, Hot Springs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday – Friday this week.  There is no sand available. 

 The goal of Emergency Management is to aid the community in mitigating, preparing for, responding to, recovering from natural and man-made emergencies and disasters that could affect the citizens, businesses and visitors of the County of Bath.

What we do:
• Provide assistance for emergency response to emergencies and disasters.
• Develop and update emergency plans for all hazards impacting our community.
• Provide liaison with local, state and federal authorities during emergencies and disasters.
• Develop, coordinate and conduct emergency management training/exercise programs.
• Develop and distribute emergency management presentations, brochures, pamphlets, public service announcements and other relevant information for civic organizations, businesses, and the public.
